Se bem nos lembramos (entre as brumas da memória, mas até devemos ter elementos dessa ocasião entre os papéis ao monte) soubemos da existência de  Bjorn Lomborg aquando da publicação do seu livro The Skeptical Environmentalist,   lá pelos fins dos anos 90 aquando da sua participação numa iniciativa em Portugal numa altura em que só alguns se preocupavam de «maneira militante» com as questões ambientais. A memória que retemos dessa ocasião é mais ou menos a que decorre do que se pode ler na Wikipedia: «The Skeptical Environmentalist: Measuring the Real State of the World (Danish: Verdens sande tilstand, lit. 'The True State of the World') is a book by Danish author and statistician Bjørn Lomborg. The book is controversial for outlining Lomborg's views that concerns and responses to environmental issues are overly pessimistic and unsupported. It was first published in Danish in 1998, while the English edition was published as a work in environmental economics by Cambridge University Press in 2001». O que retemos é que terá ficado «sózinho» a defender os seus pontos de vista desalinhado dos restantes. O que é certo é que não o esquecemos e fomos seguindo à distância a sua carreira de que podemos saber no seu site.

Neste ambiente, foi com uma curiosidade especial que reparámos no post conjunto a que nos referimos acima que começa assim:«Bjorn Lomborg is an economist whose work I've been following for many years. Lately we've had some fascinating conversations about global health and development, which led us to write this post together».
